„The Alchemy of Blue“ trio was commissioned at 2010 by Gewandhaus zu Leipzig and has been written on the occasion of the 200th year of death of Robert Schumann. The composition is based on my own poem and the seven sections of the of the composition represent seven nuances of the blue colour and seven parts of the poem. Last year I finished also the second version of this piece, which should be published by the edition “Furore”.
The recording of the piece is from the premiere-concert in 2010, with Trio Zephyr.
